It's been such a long time since we first heard rumours about this. Now we finally got it. It's the third piece of work for the young label Plumbea Records, the debut album for the band M:ET, innovative trio swinging between punk and jazz, experimental and noise rock. Leros En Genolmen -this is the album title- was supposed to be a 25 minutes EP, but during the production a little more stuff came out and everybody at Plumbea wanted it to be recorded and put in the album as well.
That's how we get 3 extra-tracks named "Tapes", in which the music is played by digital effects and background voices recorded by a young guitarist and his grandma, talking about unexpectedly evocative topics - far from listing the child's favorite TV shows.. and the result is a heterogeneous album for 33'26'' of length.

All throughout the album there are some influences that must be reckoned, such as great musical guru Shellac, Fugazi and Blonde Redhead. That does not mean the album is a mere mixing of good music: M:ET has many a peculiarity coming out from the different musical personalities of the three players.
It is easy to recognize the ecleptic PROP at the drums. Prop is a precious Plumbea collaborator, whose new work is being produced right now and will soon be released.

We must point out the fact that the album was not reviewed yet, when many a copy of it was sold during M:ET gigs.

Da tempo si parlava di questo disco e finalmente è uscito. II terzo lavoro per la Plumbea Records è l'esordio dei M:ET, innovativo trio che oscilla tra il punk, il jazz, il rock sperimentale.
Leros En Genolmen -questo il titolo del disco- è nato dall'idea di realizzare un EP per la band, per circa 25 minuti di musica, ma nel corso della produzione sono stati incisi 3 brani "idealistici" in cui non sono i canonici 3 strumenti a dare la base, bensì suoni (effettistica a catena su cellulari, jack a vuoto, corde di basso accordate sulla nota "Tuono" e altro) amalgamati fra loro dalla voce vivace di un bimbo e sua nonna che, contrariamente a quanto si potrebbe pensare, non parlano di favole e giocattoli ma di mangianastri, incisioni e una sveglia rotta…. il tutto per un totale di 33'26''. Quindi il lavoro finale si è presentato come disco e non più EP.

Lungo tutto il disco è immediato riconoscere alla batteria l'eclettico PROP, già prezioso collaboratore della Plumbea (con la quale uscirà presto un secondo lavoro) nonché ascoltare antiche influenze etniche di Fugazi, Shellac, Blonde Redhead a cui è stata aggiunta una buona dose di personalità data dalle diverse origini musicali dei tre.

E' doveroso sottolineare che prima ancora che il disco abbia ricevuto recensioni da parte della critica, i M:ET hanno registrato delle buone vendite grazie alla loro attività concertistica.
