I SEARCHIN'GUITAR nascono nel 2003 come duo: basso (maurita gonzalo) e batteria (giuss). dopo un demo, 2 anni di concerti in giro per l'italia e un paio di partecipazioni in compilation entrano a far parte di PLUMBEA RECORDS, etichetta indipendente di Bologna per la quale pubblicano COME ON IN THE TRIP vol.1: una colonna sonora in stile poliziottesco prodotta per Telemeno Digitale.
Questo disco ha cambiato radicalmente i loro gusti musicali e la direzione dei loro progetti: lontano dalle sonorità dei live e dei lavori precedenti (un esplosivo noise rock strumentale basso e batteria) in questo disco suonano tutti gli strumenti: chitarre, hammond, synth, basso, batteria, percussioni.. ispirandosi alle atmosfere tipiche del genere.
Proseguendo su questa linea esce dopo pochi mesi COME ON IN THE TRIP vol.2: FAGOGITO ERGO SUM. suonato e prodotto interamente da Giuss (con collaborazioni in alcune canzoni) riprende la passione per le colonne sonore e la musica anni '70, le sonorità etniche e le percussioni, aggiungendo elementi di musica elettronica e campioni di film.
Entrambi i dischi sono prodotti da Giuss per Plumbea Records, distribuiti anche da Sweet Teddy Records e interamente scaricabili dal sito Ko-Rec.org.
Attualmente Giuss è impegnato in numerose collaborazioni (sia come musicista sia come produttore) e si é trasferito a Barcellona; Maurita é in inghilterra, a Manchester.
SEARCHIN'GUITAR was born in 2003 as a bass (maurita gonzalo) and drums (giuss) band. after a demo album, 2 year of concerts around italy and a couple of participations in compilation albums they join PLUMBEA RECORDS, an indie label from bologna (italy) for which they produced COME ON IN THE TRIP vol.1: a police movie soundtrack made for a Telemeno Digitale Produzioni movie.
This record has radically changed their musical taste and the direction of their projects: away from the sounds of live concerts and previous works (an explosive bass and drums instrumental noise rock) in this album they play all instruments: guitars, hammond, synth, bass, drums, percussions.. drawing on atmosphere typical of that kind of music.
On this way the new album is out soon: COME ON IN THE TRIP vol.2: FAGOGITO ERGO SUM. played and produced by Giuss (with collaborations in some tracks) it recalls the soundtrack taste with more etnic and 70's sounds, a bit of electronic and movie samples.
